  • We joined back up with the PCT at Thousand Island Lake. We camped about a mile down a side trail along the lake from here. Island Pass is tomorrow.
  • Camp #17 at Thousand Island Lake
  • Sunrise. We had an exciting night of having a SAR helicopter fly through around 10 pm and circle the lake 5 times with a searchlight on before finally landing, rescuing someone, and flying off again. The kids slept through it all.
  • Keira hauling bear cans. She was determined to have breakfast out on a little peninsula. Also, Hayden's hammock. Even with short trees he managed to rig it up.
